Blockchain Technology and Digital Currencies: Global Opportunities and Challenges
Sold Out
THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT!
The opportunities and challenges around blockchain and cryptocurrencies continue to be among the hottest topics in technology — both here in the U.S. and abroad.
Many believe the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency hype resembles the dotcom bubble and is bound to burst. Others believe the comparison is short-sighted because blockchain will ultimately have a positive and long-term impact on the way we do business, manage government, and conduct our lives. While the debate continues, businesses, governments and regulators around the world are hard at work to understand the technology and its potential real-world use cases. It has become clear that the opportunities also bring operational, political and legal challenges. In order to address these challenges without stifling innovation, it is critical for participants in these new ecosystems to have a solid understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
To help demystify some of the questions surrounding blockchain and cryptocurrencies, the World Affairs Council and Pepper Hamilton will host a discussion on the pros and cons of this new technology.
Other panelists may be announced. Check back for updates!
