ArtistSpeak: Philly Tech Week Edition

On April 30th, beginning at 6 PM, we will be hosting ArtistSpeak: Philly Tech Week Edition at Warehouse on Watts (923 N Watts St, Philadelphia, PA 19123). This event will feature lightning talks by Philadelphia’s Nick Cassway, Alex Conner, Miguel Horn, Justin Dowdall, Orkan Telhan, Loretta Maps Bolt and Anjan Chatterjee. Collectively, we will focus on the role of new media and technology in influencing art-making at present. We will highlight a variety of perspectives on this issue ranging from technological intervention in the production of work, to the influence of technology on identity and conceptions of self. The presentations will be accompanied by a pop-up exhibition that will remain open from April 30th — May 4th featuring some of the artists on our panel.
