HUE - A Tech Summit for Women of Color
Calling all technologists and founders in the Delaware Valley and beyond for the inaugural HUE Tech Summit, a diversity in tech event powered by the Tech Women Network. It will be the Delaware Valley’s first summit that is designed to educate, elevate, and empower women of color technologists and founders.
Hidden no more, it’s time for women of color in the region to come forth and shine. It will be a groundbreaking event during Philly Tech Week as hundreds of professional women, recent college graduates, and supporters are expected to be in attendance.
The theme for the summit is “No More Hidden Figures” and the goal is to ensure that women of color are not left behind in the ever-changing tech world.
Keynote speech provided by Dr. Sandra K. Johnson, one of the first African American women in the nation to receive a PH.D. in Electrical Engineering. She will share about her journey as a hidden figure.
The summit programming focuses on two tracks:
INTRAPRENEURSHIP - Talks to assist women in the corporate world with navigating their career
ENTREPRENEURSHIP - Talks to assist current or aspiring entrepreneurs with launching, growing, or scaling their business
In addition to talks, guests will have the ability to participate in smaller workshops and clinics to network and learn more about opportunities in tech.
Immediately following the summit, attendees are invited to attend the Philly Tech Week Signature Event.
